I’ve always been active and have danced competitively for as long as I can remember.
When I took a break from competing on Dancing with the Stars, it was the first time in forever that I had to focus on my nutrition and fitness. I was used to dancing 6-8 hours a day and burning so many calories! I noticed my body changing…so I went back to my roots, and created my own fitness routine that I knew I could stick to – and 5678 Fitness was born! 5678 Fitness is a cardio dance based program that I’ve developed into a diet book and DVD system. It’s been amazing to see the platform take shape (and literally help others love their shape!). But I knew it was time to take the next step… I wanted to open my very own dance fitness studio.
I’d been searching for the perfect space and finally came across a location too good to pass up. The legendary Richard Simmons’ Slimmons Studio in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.
The Slimmons Studio opened in 1974 and it has been an iconic dance studio in Beverly Hills – filled with unconditional love, laughter and happiness ever since. When the Slimmons Studio closed, I literally jumped at the chance to re-open it. Like Richard, I wanted to create a space where people can come be themselves, dance & enjoy the perks of a workout – all while having fun!
